The Applied History Network (AHN) is a group of PhD students, archivists, and early career researchers committed to politically engaged history. We put on evening events every two months in central London which aim to apply an historical perspective to contemporary events and debates.
The network grew out of conversations started at the ‘what is radical history?’ conference at Birkbeck in March 2015. For more information on AHN, click here to read a position paper by Tank Green which was presented at the Taking the Past into the Future ‘unconference’ at the University of St Andrews in August 2015.
The group currently comprises of Diarmaid Kelliher, Hannah Ishmael, Luca Lapolla, Rob Waters, and Tank Green. Each event is led by a particular member of the group.
